Three Node Startup Cluster

The three node startup cluster is ideal for websites with not very heavy traffic but heavy bandwidth usage. The bandwidth here can be split across multiple servers to create a cost effective cluster setup.

Two Webservers with the following configuration:

  • Intel Pentium 4 3.0 HT / Intel Pentium D 930 Processor
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM/ 160G SATA HDD Drive
  • 1500GB of Tier 1 Bandwidth on each Webserver
  • CentOS 4.x/5.x or Fedora 5.x/6.x OS
  • 5 IP addresses , 100Mbps Uplink
  • Private VLAN Connections to other Nodes on the Cluster

One Mysql/Mail Server with the following configuration:

  • Intel Pentium Dual Xeon 2.8 Processor
  • 2GB DDR2 RAM/ 2x160GB SATA HDD Drive
  • 3000GB of Tier 1 Bandwidth on each Webserver
  • CentOS 4.x/5.x or Fedora 5.x/6.x OS
  • 5 IP addresses , 100Mbps Uplink
  • Private VLAN Connections to other Nodes on the Cluster
  • Cpanel/WHM Control panel.
The above three servers have two Ethernet Cards and are connected to a private switch. The second ethernet card on each server is used for internal communication between these boxes. This provides faster and secure database connectivity as well as almost null packet loss. The above setup is fully managed with basic monitoring services offered with the setup. The data from the master SQL/Mail Server is resynced across the webservers which serve http requests in a round robin mode. The setup also includes fully managed DNS service with failover nameservers. The webservers use Lighttpd + FastCGI setup for lighting fast webserving and PHP processing. The Mysql Server is optimized for maximum performance and comes with automated managed backups. To get a quote on the above cluster setup, please use the Contact Us link on our site.
